Southfork Landing has been thoughtfully designed to marry the unique natural surroundings with carefully planned homesites paying close attention to conservation and maintenance of open space.
We are creating a 3.5-mile-long protected conservation zone along the entire length of river frontage within Southfork Landing. Homesites are set back, on average, 300 feet from the river and placed perpendicular to the river. With this design, all homesites have a river and mountain view. Yet the river frontage remains protected from development in perpetuity.
From an infrastructure and design perspective, the partners are developing a state-of-the-art domestic water and sewage system to meet the needs of the community and plan to comply with the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEEDS) criteria for sustainable lifestyles. When completed, the partners will have dedicated an astonishing 61% of its 868 planned developable acres to open space, conservation and wildlife easements.
